Educators: Recognising and responding to grooming
In many cases of child sexual offending, preparatory steps to offending go unrecognised or people lack information on how to respond to concerning behaviour.
This module will establish a greater understanding of motivations for offending behaviours, how a child might be targeted, and in turn, how to protect children from harm.
Online and offline grooming behaviours are explored and complemented with effective responses to prevent or stop further grooming and potential further offending.
Information on reportable conduct schemes for relevant states are also provided.
